ABOUT THE BOOK
The Indian Parliament stands as a symbol of India's struggle for her independence, it symbolises the seemingly endless and painstaking path marked with unimaginable struggles that every Indian walked. The author draws inspiration from the Indian Parliament, standing proud as a symbol of our journeys from subjugation to liberation. The new Parliament's triangular shape impels the author to think of the intersection it represents of the three pillars of democracy. The triangle, which stands as a symbol of an institution's ability to adapt as per changing times while retaining their true essence, is a testament to our constitution which by its nature promotes dynamicity. The Parliament is the face of democracy in India and delving deeper the same, this book will draw a parallel between the static and dynamic role of the parliament. The author traces the evolution of the Indian parliament from its inception to its form in the present day and evaluates the same in light of research and findings to explain the legitimacy and credibility of this institution. The author gives a comprehensive overview of the Indian parliamentary democracy and evaluates the state of the same in the current times, intending to encourage the readers to have an inquisitive mind to gain an in-depth knowledge of the Indian parliament. This book will be imperative for anyone who hopes to gain an insight into the Indian parliamentary system and its functioning, whether it be students, scholars, administrators, policymakers or journalists.
