The book is an outcome of the papers presented and expert analysis at the Two-day National Seminar organized by University School of Mass Communication titled 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: NEP, 2020 and Paradigm Shift in Indian Education' sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research {ICSSR), Ministry of Education, Government of India. The National Education Policy of 2020 is a visionary document that replaces the 34-year-old National Education Policy of 1986. Its foundational principles are consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals and the values espoused by the United Nations. The primary aim of this book is to delve into the transformation and continuity brought about by the National Education Policy of 2020. It particularly focuses on dissecting the changes it has initiated and the resulting impact on both Indian society and the educational landscape. ABOUT THE EDITORS

Dr. Durgesh Tripathi is a prominent academician from India, celebrated for his significant contributions to education and digital media. Renowned globally, he presented insights on Youth and Digital Media at the House of Commons at the British Parliament, and his MOOCs Course, "Society and Media," is ranked among the Top 100 Online Courses. Currently an Associate Professor at Guru Gobind Singh lndraprastha University, Delhi, he also oversees its newly established School of Film Making.

Dr. Ramesh Kumar Sharma is an esteemed academician and Associate Professor at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Delhi affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh lndraprastha University. With a seventeen-year career, Dr. Sharma has spearheaded significant research projects, authored seven books, and published extensively. Recognized with multiple awards, his dedication to communication and media studies is unparalleled, solidifying his stature in the academic community.

Ms. Surbhi Tandon is a Doctoral candidate at University School of Mass Communication, Guru Gobind Singh lndraprastha University, New Delhi, India. She is a recipient of Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for her PhD from University Grants Commission, Ministry of Education, Government of India. She has qualified NET Examination in Journalism and Mass Communication for Assistant Professorship. She is a staunch advocate for the democratization of higher education and is dedicated to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education for All.
