ABOUT THE AUTHORS


Dr. Surbhi Tandon

Dr. Surbhi Tandon is an Assistant Professor at the VSJMC, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies-Technical Campus, New Delhi. Her research focuses on digital political communication, democracy, and public opinion formation in the digital age. A former journalist with the Press Trust of India (PTI), she combines professional media experience with academic scholarship. She holds a Ph.D. in Digital Media from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and was awarded the UGC Junior and Senior Research Fellowships. Dr. Tandon has published extensively, presented research internationally, edited two books on higher education, and is a recipient of the Young Women Leaders in Public Policy Fellowship by IMPRI, New Delhi.


Prof. (Dr.) Durgesh Tripathi

Prof. (Dr.) Durgesh Tripathi is a distinguished academic leader and Dean of the University School of Mass Communication at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Renowned for his work in digital media, political communication, media literacy, youth studies, and online education, he has authored six books, led ten research projects, and published over 70 papers in reputed national and international journals. His research has been funded by UGC, ICSSR, AICTE, and DST, Govt. of India. He played a key role in developing India’s largest postgraduate digital repository for Media and Communication Studies through e-PG Pathshala and launched the acclaimed SWAYAM MOOC Society and Media. His international engagements, including projects supported by the US Department of State and the European Union, reflect his commitment to advancing research and fostering international collaboration.
