ABOUT THE BOOK

Indian cinema is the most celebrated storyteller of the nation. Ranging from the stories that unfold on the screen and off it, setting the trends of popular culture and planting dreams in the eyes of its millions of audiences; the cultural impact of cinema has been manifold. But inherently, films are an art form dependent on technology, right from making them with state-of-the-art cameras to watching them on smartphones. ‘Film, Cinema and Movies’ offers a fascinating glimpse into how technology has transformed the art, science and commerce of Indian cinema. The book takes you on a journey to explore how films are produced, distributed and consumed across the country and observe how its ripples are felt by all those associated with the industry. A must-read for film enthusiasts, industry professionals, researchers and students of cinema and everyone who is passionate about the art and craft of filmmaking.
